Thomas Krieg - Principal Investigator, tk382@medschl.cam.ac.uk
Dr Krieg is a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology with a research focus directed toward identifying therapies that prevent cell death in ischemic heart. He focuses in identifying complex signal transduction pathways involved in cell death due to ischaemia.

Ana Vujic - Career Development Research Fellow, av335@cam.ac.uk
Ana studies heart function and development of heart disease, such as heart failure on a molecular and cellular level. As someone who exercises daily, she has long been fascinated by the effects of exercise and diet on heart health and development of cardiometabolic diseases. She is funded by Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence. Ana’s previous research at Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Department, Harvard University focused on heart disease and heart regeneration.

Hiran Prag -Postdoctoral Research Fellow, hap38@mrc-mbu.cam.ac.uk
Hiran’s primary interests lie in understanding the pathophysiology of cardiac ischaemia/reperfusion injury, with a particular focus on the role mitochondria play. His recent current work focusses on the development of novel therapies targeting succinate metabolism in I/R injury to improve their efficacy and prospect for translation to the clinic.
